We were fed up of opening an image editing application merely to calculate width and height of an image when scaled proportionally. Proportional Scaler helps you to calculate the new dimensions of images and movies (or any rectangular shape) when scaled by width, height, or by a percentage value. Scaling images: Proportional scaler does not physically scale your image files. Proportional Scaler helps you to calculate the proper dimensions when you need to change the size of an image (or movie) on your web page. By maintaining an image's proportions, you avoid distortion, degradation and visually unappealing artefacts in your images. Scaling movie embeds: Movies are particularly susceptible to degradation if improperly enlarged or reduced when embedded into a web page. Proportional Scaler will help to ensure you maintain the correct proportions when defining a new width and height for an embedded movie file.
